What is the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene's process for Adopting Regulations? How can I obtain a copy of a regulation? What if I have a specific question about a DHMH regulation, whom should I contact? If I do not agree with a certain regulation, how can it be changed?
The Department has an
internal process which is governed by the Administrative Procedures Act
under
State Government Article,
§§10-101 - 10-139, Annotated Code of Maryland and the State Documents
Law under
State-Government Article,
§§7-101 - 7-222, Annotated Code of Maryland.
The Department of Health and Mental Hygiene’s regulations (COMAR) are available on-line from the Division of State Documents.
If you have specific questions regarding the content or the interpretation of a regulation, or if you wish to obtain a hard copy of a regulation, please contact the individual unit responsible for that regulation directly.
