ALTIMORE,
MD (September 12, 2008) -- The
Rosewood Center will be closed by June
30, 2009. The Department of Health and
Mental Hygiene (DHMH) has developed a
list of commonly asked questions and
answers to help families of Rosewood
residents better understand the closure
process and their options.
“Family members
have valuable input into the needs of
their loved ones. The transition
process relies on the input of
individuals who know the resident best,”
said DHMH Secretary John M. Colmers.
“We encourage families to participate so
the best options are identified for
their loved ones.”
DHMH officials have
developed a new series of questions and
answers for Rosewood family members.
The new document responds to common
questions regarding the closure of
Rosewood. The questions and answers are
available by clicking on “Rosewood
Closure Information” located under “Hot
Topics” at
www.dhmh.state.md.us.
Other information
available on the website includes:
